In the winter months you have 2 first class ski resorts within approximately 30 minutes of Kalispell that offer you the opportunity to test you skiing and snow boarding skills at all levels. Winter also brings out the snowmobilers. You can snowmobile to places that you might not otherwise get to see and take in the beauty that is exclusive to this area. There is also big game hunting season. Within a very short distance you can be in prime country for big game such as Elk, Deer, Moose, Bear, Mountain Goats, and more.
